About Lionel Deluy’s work

Lionel Deluy, a French-born photographer, found his calling in photography at the age of 13 when he received his first Fujika 35mm camera. His journey from the south of France to Paris, where he worked several jobs before committing fully to photography at 29, is marked by determination and passion. Deluy’s career trajectory led him through various Parisian studios and eventually to Mexico City, where he immersed himself in the Spanish language and worked with prestigious magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Vogue. However, a harrowing experience led him to relocate to Los Angeles, where he experienced a pivotal moment collaborating with Flaunt magazine, catapulting him into the world of celebrity photography. His lens has graced the pages of numerous international publications, including Photo, ELLE, and Vogue, while his portfolio boasts campaigns for iconic brands such as Häagen-Dazs, Reebok, and Sephora. Deluy’s photographic repertoire spans a wide spectrum, capturing the essence of stars like Gary Oldman and Jessica Alba, as well as musical talents such as Katy Perry and Pharrell. With each click of his camera, Deluy continues to leave an indelible mark on the world of photography.
